From Palma, ride along the scenic coast to Porto Cristo, home to the famous Dragon Caves (Cuevas del Drach), where underground lakes and impressive rock formations create an otherworldly experience. Continue to C'an Picafort, cycling through quaint villages and countryside dotted with traditional windmills. From here, visit Alcúdia, the island's oldest town, with well-preserved medieval walls and Roman ruins. Your journey leads you through the spectacular Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pass citrus groves and charming villages like Fornalutx en route to the Lluc Monastery, a spiritual and architectural treasure surrounded by lush landscapes. Cycling Tour of Mallorca Day 1: Arrival at Playa de Palma Receive your travel documents and settle into your accommodation. Day 2: Playa de Palma - Colonia Sant Jordi (approx. 55 km) This stage takes you along the coast to Capocorb Vell, the land of the Cyclopes (remains of ancient native settlements). Continue past iconic windmills to the salt flats of Llevant, with their shimmering pink and white salt lakes. In Sant Jordi, relax on sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters. Day 3: Sant Jordi - Porto Cristo (approx. 60 km) Cycle through Ses Salines to a botanical garden, then visit the picturesque Cala Santanyí bay. Pass through small fishing villages to the famous natural bridge "Es Pontas." Near Porto Cristo, explore the Dragon Caves with their fascinating formations and shapes. Day 4: Porto Cristo - C'an Picafort (approx. 55 km) Ride through the sleepy village of Son Carrió to Manacor, known for its Majorica pearls and ceramics. Pass through Santa Margalida, home to Mallorca's most beautiful village square, and traverse some of the island's most enchanting landscapes en route to C'an Picafort. Day 5: Round Tour to Puerto Pollensa/Alcúdia (approx. 45 km) No packing today! Stay an extra night in C'an Picafort. Cycle through a bird sanctuary and nature reserve to the Pollensa Bay, a historic Roman port. Continue along the coastal road to Alcúdia, Mallorca's oldest town, before returning to C'an Picafort. Day 6: C'an Picafort - Port de Sóller (approx. 45 km + bus) Ride from C'an Picafort towards Muro, home to a natural history museum, and then Inca, famous for its leather goods. A bus transfer takes you to the Lluc Monastery. From there, cycle through the Tramuntana Mountains downhill to Fornalutx, often called Mallorca's most beautiful village, passing citrus groves on the way to Port de Sóller. Day 7: Port de Sóller - Playa de Palma (approx. 25 km + train ride) Board the historic Sóller train to Palma's plains. Enjoy a guided tour of the city before cycling along the coast to your accommodation. Day 8: Departure or Extension Depart individually or extend your stay to explore more of Mallorca.
